KEYSTONE TRAILS ASSOCIATION SEEKS OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
KTA is a non-profit federation of 50 hiking clubs and more than 1100 individuals dedicated to protecting and promoting hiking trails and hiking opportunities in Pennsylvania. We seek an energetic, capable Administrator to assist the Executive Director and Board of Directors in business management of the organization. Duties include: general book keeping including tracking income/expenses from all sources and preparing monthly financial statements; tracking memberships; data entry; processing sales of KTA merchandise; scheduling and organizing membership meetings, board meetings and special events; coordinating the annual audit; and responding to inquiries from the public.
The ideal candidate has a love of the outdoors, a 2-year or more business-related degree, 3 years experience as an administrator/bookkeeper , experience working with volunteers, proficiency with MS Office and Peachtree software, and excellent communication skills.
This is a part-time position (25 hours/week) with competitive wages, a flexible schedule and the potential to grow into a full-time position. Occasional weekend work is required for meetings and special events.

Absorb the Forbes” hiking festival, scheduled for Saturday, September 15 in the Laurel Highlands of southwestern PA. Co-sponsored by PA Parks and Forests Foundation and DCNR, we have eleven hikes to offer, ranging from an easy 3-mile loop to a boot-busting 14-miler. At the end of the day, enjoy the music of nationally-knownn singer Ray Owen. The festival is based at the Laurel Lodge in the Larel Mountain Ski Area near Laughlintown, Westmoreland County.
